Opening press conference Vidin

On the 14 January 2019 was held the Opening press-conference organized within the project. The event took place at Neptun hotel, Vidin.

The press-conference began with presenting of project partners and team members involved in the project. The Lead Beneficiary – ARDBC-Vidin was presented by Mr. Evtim Stefanov in his role of Project manager and Mrs. Petya Voycheva as technical assistant, ARDBC-Vidin.

On behalf of Project partner 2 – LEASME Calafat, present at the conference was Mr. Alin Dumbravea – Project coordinator.

The meeting with the media representatives was conducted in compliance with the agenda. 

The project manager presented the main goal and activities of project. Each activity was explained in details to the attending journalists and they attest their interest about the main activity within the project, namely the reconstruction of history moments from the period 1877-1878 related with the Liberation of Vidin and Independence war for Romania.

Mr. Stefanov presented the representative of our Romanian partner LEASME Calafat – Mr. Alin Dumbravea, Project coordinator for Romania. Mr. Dumbravea expressed his believe that the project will reach its goals and a new joint tourism product will be created, which will make the cross-border region recognizable with its interesting and important history.  

Mr. Stefanov presented the chairman of Patriotic club Bdintsi – Vidin – Mr. Dimcho Georgiev. Specified was the important role of the local patriotic club, which has experience in conduction of historical reconstructions including battles. Mr. Georgiev expressed his pleasure to participate in this initiative for popularization of military history and significant moments from the past. He explained that patriotic club “Bdintsi” is part of National Association “Edinenie” and they annually participate in town celebration, take part in the reconstruction of important for Vidin historical moments related to liberation of the town.

After the speech of chairman of PC Bdintsi, there were exhibition of historical rifles and military uniforms from period 1877-1878.

The journalists had opportunity to ask their questions related to all stages of the project.
